Coffee Talk – Social Cup

Howdy! And welcome to our very first Coffee Talk! In this small series of posts we will be talking a little bit about different coffee businesses around Texas and what makes them unique. We will also be featuring one of their coffees for two weeks at a time here at your favorite coffeehouse, The Brew.

We believe that the coffee community is constantly growing and we are so impressed by some of the environments that people have created around coffee. We hope you enjoy these posts and learn more about the brilliant people who make the world go round with coffee.

Will Bryce – Owner of Social Cup

Social Cup is from our neck of the woods, Bryan/College Station. They opened January 1, 2017 and have been working towards building their own roasting, blending, and packing facility here in the area. On their website, you can find their impressive selection of whole bean roasts, ground coffee, and even K-cups. For the next two weeks we will be featuring their Cinnamon Nut Cookie Dough flavored coffee, and yes, it is as delicious as it sounds! For more information, you can visit their website at:

And now, here is the inside scoop on Social Cup:

  • Who are you? Who are you with?

My name is Will Bryce. My wife and I own Social Cup.

  • What is something special about your coffee company?

It is our passion to create coffees that don’t have a bitter taste, to create coffee blends that people crave. We strive to do business with old fashioned values. We have been truly blessed in our success.

  • What is your favorite drink at The Brew?

The Secret Handshake is my absolute favorite!

  • What is your favorite thing about coffee?

My favorite thing about coffee is where the name of our company originated. Coffee is a very social drink, whether it’s business or personal, a lot of discussions are held over a cup of coffee. Coffee can also serve as a hot beverage to warm you up and get you going. If it’s your favorite blend of coffee it can warm the mind, body, and soul. For coffee drinkers, we take it seriously. It’s how we start our day, and we deserve to start our day on the right foot.

  • How did you get involved in the coffee business?

I’ve been in the food service for many years. It was about eight years ago when a customer said to me, “I’ve never met anyone who talks about coffee as passionately as you do.” It was then that I realized what my grandfather meant about “do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life.” We are in our second year of business and it’s a dream come true.

  • What is one thing you think we need to know?

If I wanted you to remember one thing about us a company as well as individuals, it would be this: This company provides great coffee because it runs on Godly principles and we have a passion for the best cup of coffee, because you deserve it.

Thanks for taking the time to read our post! We can’t wait to share more with you all!
